Each Barraca comprises the following:
  • 9m x 5m thatched shelter with three closed sides and half open front. The Barraca's have been rebuilt and now have brick walls.
  • Shade cloth floor.
  • All you need to bring is your normal camping gear and food.
  • Electric lights and a 220V plug point. The generator will run for approximately 4 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening.
  • Sink with tap and draining board. Kitchen area with work shelves.
  • Private bathroom with hot and cold water, shower, hand basin and flush toilet.
  • All Barraca's have sea views.
  • Fresh water is safe to drink and is pumped from our own well point to a 27000 litre underground storage reservoir from where it is gravity fed to the barracas.
  • Table & 8 Chairs.
  • Storage area.
  • The inclusive rate for a Barraca is R140.00 per person per night inclusive of 17% IVA (goverment tax) for a maximum of 8 people and with a minimum fee of R560.00 per day. The tarrif includes an assistant to wash up, make the fire etc.
Barraca 3 now has 4 double bedrooms at the rear of the Barraca. Barraca 3's fee is R160pppn with a minimum fee of R640.00 per night.
